Tostadas

“Tostadas are one of my Dad’s favorites and whenever I make them I think of him. This is our standard tostada, but they are endlessly customizable. Consider other ingredients including: chipotle cream sauce, sour cream, sliced avocado, avocado crema or guacamole, and tomatoes or pico de gallo. Additionally, you could add meats such as ground beef with taco seasoning, barbacoa, carne asada, shredded or grilled chicken, carnitas, chile verde or al pastor.” – April Ferre

Tostadas

Ingredients

  • Tostada Shells
  • Refried Beans
  • Onion Chopped
  • Red Taco Sauce
  • Lettuce Shredded
  • Cheese Shredded

Instructions

  • Toast tostada shells in a 375 degree oven for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, heat refried beans.
  • Spread refried beans over tostada shells and then top with onion, red sauce, lettuce and cheese. Serve immediately.
