Bean & Cheese Burritos (a’la Taco Bell)

  • 1 Large Flour Tortilla
  • 1/3 Cup Refried Beans
  • 1 Tablespoon Red Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Chopped Onions
  • 1/4 Cup Shredded Mexican Cheese Blend


  • For best results, preheat refried beans.
  • Down the middle of a large flour tortilla, spread refried beans, red sauce, onions and cheese.
  • Wrap burrito and microwave approximately 20 to 30 seconds or until warmed through. Serve immediately.

To freeze burritos:

  • Do not preheat refried beans, but otherwise prepare as above.
  • Wrap burritos in foil, place on a baking sheet and then in the freezer.
  • When burritos are frozen through, place them in a Ziploc bag or vacuum seal for longer-term storage.

To reheat frozen burritos: (Instructions based on a 1800w microwave.)

  • Remove foil from frozen burrito and wrap in a paper towel.
  • Place on a microwave-safe plate and microwave at 50% for 3 minutes, flipping the burrito halfway through.
  • Flip burrito again and microwave on high for 30 to 40 seconds or until hot.
  • Let sit 1 to 2 minutes before eating.
