Pasta Alfredo with Ham & Peas

Pasta Alfredo with Ham & Peas

Ingredients

  • 8 Ounces Pasta Such as Rotini, Penne or Bow Tie
  • 1 Cup Ham Diced
  • 1 Cup Peas Cooked
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • 2 Tablespoons Flour
  • 1 1/2 Cup Heavy Cream
  • 1/2 Cup Parmesan Cheese Grated
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/8 Teaspoon Pepper

Instructions

  • Cook pasta in salted water. Drain.
  • Combine pasta, ham and peas in a large bowl.
  • While pasta is cooking, melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat until bubbly. Add flour and cook, stirring continuously, for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Add heavy cream in a steady stream while whisking until sauce is smooth. Bring sauce to a simmer and then add Parmesan cheese. Stir until melted.
  • Add salt, garlic powder and pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  • Pour sauce over pasta and serve immediately.
