Jasmine Rice with Lemongrass & Ginger

Jasmine Rice with Lemongrass & Ginger

Ingredients

  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Lemongrass Finely Minced
  • 1 Tablespoon Ginger Finely Minced
  • 1 Cup Jasmine Rice Rinsed & Well Drained
  • 1 1/2 Cup Water
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • Green Onions Sliced, Optional

Instructions

  • In a medium sauce pan over medium heat, sauté lemongrass and ginger for 1 minute.
  • Add rice and stir to coat; cook for a minute or two more.
  • Add water and salt and bring to a boil. Cover and reduce heat to low.
  • Cook for 15 minutes until all the liquid is absorbed and rice is tender. Remove from heat and fluff rice with a fork.
  • Serve topped with sliced green onions.
