“A more traditional rib recipe than Molasses Barbecued Ribs.” – Calla Ferre
Spareribs with Very Special Barbecue Sauce
- 1/4 Cup Onion Chopped
- 1/2 Cup Water
- 2 Tablespoons Vinegar
- 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
- Juice From 1 Lemon
- 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
- 1 Cup Chili Sauce
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 Teaspoon Paprika
- Brown onions. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 20 minutes.
- When baking spare ribs, first cover with foil and bake in hot oven (500 degrees) for 15 minutes. Then reduce to 350 degrees, add sauce and bake an hour longer.
