Fresh Apple Cake

Course: Cakes & Cupcakes

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Flour
  • 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 3/4 Teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup Vegetable Shortening
  • 1 Egg Well Beaten
  • 2 Cups Apple Chopped
  • 1 Cup Walnuts Coarsely Chopped

Instructions

  • Combine flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and sugar. Cut in shortening. Add egg and mix until well blended. Fold in apples and walnuts.
  • Bake in greased 8×8-inch pan for 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla sauce.
