Fresh Apple Cake
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Flour
- 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- 3/4 Teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1 Cup Sugar
- 1/4 Cup Vegetable Shortening
- 1 Egg Well Beaten
- 2 Cups Apple Chopped
- 1 Cup Walnuts Coarsely Chopped
Instructions
- Combine flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and sugar. Cut in shortening. Add egg and mix until well blended. Fold in apples and walnuts.
- Bake in greased 8×8-inch pan for 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla sauce.
