Beef Gravy (No Drippings Method)
Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- 1/4 Cup Red Wine Optional
- 1 Cup Beef Broth
- Cornstarch & Water Slurry
- Salt & Pepper To Taste
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, melt butter.
- If you have any drippings from the pan you cooked your beef in, deglaze with red wine or a little broth and then add to the saucepan along with the rest of the beef broth.
- Bring to a simmer, reduce slightly and then thicken your gravy to the desired consistency with the cornstarch slurry.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
