Susan’s Coffee Cake

“I asked my Mom one time who Susan was. Apparently she was watching TV and copied down this recipe. The woman on TV was named Susan.” – Calla Ferre

“This makes a dense coffee cake and it is best served warm. The instructions say to split this batter in half to make two layers, but in my hands there wasn’t enough batter to do that, so I just made one.” – April Ferre
