Grandmother’s Fudge

Course: Candy & Confections

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Sugar
  • 2/3 Cup Canned Milk
  • 12 Marshmallows
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1/2 Cup Oleo (Margarine)
  • Pinch Salt
  • 1 6-Ounce Package (1 Cup) Chocolate Chips
  • 1 Cup Nuts Chopped

Instructions

  • Mix sugar, milk, marshmallows, margarine and salt in 2-quart pan. Cook over medium heat. Bring to a boil. Boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Remove from heat and add chocolate, nuts and vanilla. Beat mixture until smooth.
  • Place in buttered 8×8 pan. Cool and cut into pieces. Makes 30 pieces.
