Converting a Standard Bread Recipe to “Sourdough-Style”

If you want to translate an existing yeast bread recipe to “sourdough-style” using your sourdough starter, simply add 1/2 to 1 cup of the starter, as desired, to the recipe and decrease the liquid used in the recipe by approximately half the amount of starter used. For example: if you use 1/2 cup starter, decrease the liquid in the recipe by 1/4 cup.
