Baked Apples

“For a more intense apple flavor, substitute apple juice for water. Also, use cinnamon red hots for a slightly different cinnamon flavor.” – Calla Ferre

“I have fond memories of Mom making these for us when I was a kid. For a quick version of this, peel and slice apples. Put into a microwave safe bowl with a little water or apple juice, cinnamon and sugar. Microwave until apples are tender and translucent. Makes for a wonderful treat on cold autumn nights.” – April Ferre
