“I have fond memories of Mom making these for us when I was a kid. For a quick version of this, peel and slice apples. Put into a microwave safe bowl with a little water or apple juice, cinnamon and sugar. Microwave until apples are tender and translucent. Baked Apples
Ingredients
- Baking Apples
- Water
- Granulated Sugar
- Ground Cinnamon
- Raisins
- Butter
Instructions
- Wash and remove core, not quite to the bottom. Place in baking dish. In center of each apple, place 1 to 2 tablespoons sugar mixed with 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon and a few raisins. Dot with butter.
- Place 1 cup of water around apples and bake covered in moderate oven (375 degrees) for about 45 minutes or until tender.
