7-Layer Casserole
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Uncooked Rice Washed & Drained
- 1 Cup Canned Whole Kernel Corn Drained
- 2 8-Ounce Cans Hunt’s Tomato Sauce
- 1 Cup Water
- 1/2 Cup Onion Finely Chopped
- 1/2 Cup Green Pepper Finely Chopped
- 3/4 Pound Uncooked Ground Beef
- 4 Strips Bacon Cut In Half
- Salt
- Pepper
Instructions
- Using a 2-quart baking dish with a tight-fitting lid, combine ingredients in the following layers:
Layers:
- Rice
- Corn
- Sprinkle of salt and pepper, 1 can Tomato sauce and 1/2 cup Water
- Onion and Green Pepper
- Ground Beef
- Sprinkle of salt and pepper, 1 can Tomato sauce and 1/2 cup Water
- Bacon strips
Bake:
- Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
- Uncover and bake another 30 minutes longer until bacon is crisped.
- Makes 4 to 6 servings.
