Superb Chocolate Frosting

  • 1 6- Oz Package Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1/2 Cup Dairy Sour Cream
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Salt
  • 2 1/2 Cups Powdered Sugar


  • Melt chocolate chips over hot water or on very low heat. Remove from heat. Blend in sour cream, vanilla and salt. Gradually beat in powdered sugar until smooth.
  • If too soft to spread, refrigerate briefly. Makes filling and frosting for two 8 or 9 inch layers.
