Vegetable Shortening

Well Beaten

Apple
Chopped

Walnuts
Coarsely Chopped
Instructions
Combine flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and sugar. Cut in shortening. Add egg and mix until well blended. Fold in apples and walnuts.
Bake in greased 8x8-inch pan for 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla sauce.
