Old-Fashioned Strawberry Ice Cream

  • 3 Cups Fresh Strawberries
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 1/4 Cup Sugar
  • 2 Cups Half & Half
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 Cup Whipping Cream


  • Wash strawberries; remove and discard caps. Puree berries in a blender or food processor; set aside.
  • In a large bowl, beat eggs until thick and lemon colored. Beat in sugar, half & half, vanilla and whipping cream. Stir in blended strawberries.
  • Pour into ice cream canister and freezer according to manufacturer's instructions. Makes about 2 Quarts.
