Golden Peach Pie

Ingredients

  • 2 1- Pound Cans (4 Cups) Cling Peaches, Sliced
  • 1/2 Cup Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Enriched Flour
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Nutmeg
  • Dash Salt
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter Or Margarine
  • 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Orange Peel Shredded
  • 1/8 Teaspoon Almond Extract
  • 1 Plain Pie Pastry

Instructions

  • Drain peaches, reserving 1/3 cup syrup.
  • Combine dry ingredients; add reserved syrup. Cook and stir until mixture thickens. Add butter, lemon juice, orange peel, almond extract and peaches.
  • Line 9-inch pie plate with pastry. Fill with peach filling. Add lattice top. Bake in hot oven (400 degrees) for 40-45 minutes. Serve warm.
